Privacy Policy — Expenses (iOS)
Last updated: May 2026
iOS · iPhone & iPad
Summary
Expenses stores your ledgers, spaces, EMI plans, and related metadata on your device. KavNik Technologies Pvt Ltd does not operate our own cloud database that receives your expense rows as part of ordinary use.
If you enable iCloud sync, eligible data syncs through Apple’s iCloud (private database for this app), subject to your Apple ID and iCloud settings. Personal travel content follows private-first sharing rules in the app.
Receipt images are stored as files in shared on-device storage (shared with the Home Screen widget where used) and referenced from your data—not embedded as oversized blobs inside every line item.
Optional exchange-rate hints (Frankfurter)
For non–base-currency flows, the app may request indicative rates from the public Frankfurter API (api.frankfurter.app). Those requests are typically limited to currency identifiers and dates needed for conversion hints; see Frankfurter’s documentation for their handling of logs or IP data.
On-device intelligence
AI Spending Insights features may use on-device processing and, where available, Apple’s system features for language and generation. Processing follows Apple’s behavior and your device settings. KavNik does not operate a KavNik-owned server that stores your full Q&A transcripts for that flow.
Widgets and Siri / Shortcuts
The Home Screen widget reads rollup snapshot values the main app publishes into shared storage. Siri and Shortcuts run on device; phrases you configure may pass the fields you supply into the app.
Invites and deep links
Shared-space invites may use links that open the app on the recipient’s device. KavNik does not need to host invite payloads on KavNik servers for that basic behavior.
In-app purchases
Subscriptions and lifetime unlock for Expense Tracker and Splitter Pro are processed by Apple (in-app purchases). Apple handles payment data. See Apple’s Privacy Policy for purchase-related processing.
Permissions
Features such as receipt capture, voice entry, names from Contacts, and Siri may request Camera, Photo Library, Contacts, Microphone, Speech Recognition, or related capabilities. The permission text on your App Store listing and on-device prompts are authoritative.
Children’s privacy
The app is a general-purpose finance utility. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children beyond what Apple’s platforms or your own entries provide.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when features or regulations change. The “Last updated” date will change when we do.
